Overview
Egg & Toast is a food and lifestyle magazine inspired by the retro charm of a 1970s kitchen. Combining warm orange and yellow tones, vibrant food photography, and playful editorial storytelling, the magazine explores breakfast culture through recipes, food history, café reviews, and lighthearted features.

Design Approach
I developed a retro-inspired visual direction using warm colors, expressive typography, and vibrant food photography to establish the magazine's personality. I then translated this direction into a series of editorial layouts, balancing written content with imagery, infographics, and structured typography to create variety while maintaining visual consistency throughout the publication.
Content & Layout
The magazine features a range of editorial formats, including historical articles, recipes, infographics, and café reviews. Each spread was designed to suit its content while maintaining a cohesive visual language, balancing readability and functionality with the magazine's playful personality.
Outcome
Creating Egg & Toast strengthened my interest in print and editorial design and gave me experience managing a multi-page publication independently. Throughout the project, I researched and sourced content, gathered photography, organized article deadlines, and developed layouts across multiple editorial formats. The experience helped me appreciate the planning and attention to detail required to bring a publication together and inspired me to explore more print-based projects.
